Error description

  • For Microsoft SQL Server protected with IBM Spectrum Protect
Plus, if the backup is unable to collect database information,
then the SQL databases are skipped during backup and SLA
association is removed. The backup status is marked 'Completed'.
It is not obvious for the operator that the SQL databases
association with the SLA is removed.

The following job log entries are symptomatic of this problem:

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed an issue with return code with inventory of SQL databases
that was causing SLA associations to be removed. After applying
the fix the SLA associations will not be removed if the
inventory cannot find any databases on the SQL server.

Temporary fix
