IT40475: PROVIDE A SWITCH TO ENABLE CONNECTION RETRY UPON REMOTE FILE SERVER LOGON FAILURES BY FILEINPUT NODE

Error description

• The designed behaviour of  FileInputNode is  to disable
  connection retries to the remote file server  if FileInputNode
  encounters authentication failure during connection
  establishment process.   This is to ensure that userid is not
  locked out by the remote file server due to repeated connection
  attempts in case credentials provided were wrong.  To get the
  message flow retry FTP again is to restart the flow or
  integration server.
  
  However, in some situation, network blip could also cause
  authentication failures even though the credentials were
  correct.
  So in such cases,  it is desired that message flow should try
  the connection  attempt again without having to restart the
  integration server.
  
  This Apar is to provide an env variable to allow connection
  retry to the remote file server.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  The designed behaviour of  FileInputNode is  to disable
  connection retries to the remote file server  if FileInputNode
  encounters authentication failure during connection
  establishment to remote file server over FTP/SFTP/FTPS protocol.
  This is to ensure that userid is not locked out by the remote
  file server due to repeated connection attempts in case the
  credentials provided were wrong.   In order to get the FileNodes
  to  attempt connection to remote file server the user needs to
    teardown the message flow or restart the integration server.
  

Problem conclusion

• The product now provides an environment variable
  MQSI_FILENODES_RETRY_ON_LOGIN_FAILURE which when set to 'true'
  will enable connection retry without needing to teardown the
  message flow or restart of integration server.
