• The error "Invalid character value" is seen when inserting dates
  using the "to_date" function and SYSDATE.  The resulting error
  is seen:

  All users of IBM Integration Bus v10 and IBM App Connect
  Enterprise v11 and v12 using ODBC connectivity to Oracle.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  A message flow that inserts dates into an Oracle table using the
  "to_date" function and SYSDATE may see the following error:
  
  DatabaseException BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State ''22018'';
  Native Error Code '0';
  Error Text ''[IBM][ODBC Oracle Wire Protocol driver]Invalid
  character value. Error in parameter X.''.
  

Problem conclusion

• The product now includes an updated DataDirect ODBC Oracle
  driver that resolves the issue.
