APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • File restore only worked on C drive. But failed on other drives.
    
    
    This only involves in file indexing and restore, not file
    system
    
    level restore. Similar error could be seen on SQL backup and
    
    restore with initvolume and mount command.
    
    
    The following errors can be seen from job logs:
    CTGGA3054,[x.x.x.x] Failed to mount for volume[ ].
    
    Error: Exception caught on the task
    
    error: [Failed to find the disk instance of Number/DeviceID=4.
    
    Error: ('6'  'MI_RESULT_NOT_FOUND: 
    The requested object cannot be found.').].

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed an issue with the error handing of mount operation. After
    applying the fix file restore will complete successfully without
    the mount error.
