Error description

  • If a target vSnap server is temporarily unreachable when
replication jobs run in IBM Spectrum Protect Plus, the job
recreates the replication relationship and triggers a new base
replication stream. The unexpected base replication results in
the job running much longer than expected, and it causes
increased space usage in the target vSnap pool. The expected
behavior is that replication jobs will fail when the target
    vSnap is unreachable.

The replication job log encountering the connectivity problem
will report the following when the replication is rebased:
     SUMMARY,<timestamp>,CTGGA2399,Starting job for policy
REPLICATION with job name <SLA_Name> (ID:<SLA_ID>). id ->
<Job_ID>. IBM Spectrum Protect Plus version 10.1.9-2544.
