Error description

  • It is not possible to customise the receive buffer size for TLS
sockets created by the Integration Server. For use cases that
involve receiving large amount of BLOB data over TLS, for
example as the response to a HTTPRequest Node request this can
    lead to unnecessary performance degradation.

This fix introduces the environment variable
MQSI_MBSSLSOCKET_RECV_BUFFER_SIZE, when set to an integer value
this allows the user to determine the receive buffer size used
    in bytes.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of App Connect Enterprise version 11 or 12 making
outbound TLS conenctions, for example by using the HTTP or
SOAPRequest Nodes of the TCPIP Client nodes.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

Problem conclusion

  • <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">This fix
introduces the tcpTLSBufferSize property to the
SocketConnectionManager resource manager in the server.conf.yaml
file. When set to a positive integer value this allows the user
to control the size of the receive buffer used when making
outbound TLS socket connection. For example</span>

    SocketConnection Manager:
tcpTLSBufferSize 1000000 # Set the receive buffer size to use
    for TLS operations
    <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">
This fix also introduces the environment variable
MQSI_MBSSLSOCKET_RECV_BUFFER_SIZE, when set to an integer value
this allows the user to determine the receive buffer size used
    in bytes. </span>
