Error description

  • If there wasn't any operation on backup-archive client web user
    interface for 30 minutes, an error will be output to
    dsmerror.log like:
    ANS0361I DIAG: sessClose: Communications close error: -50

    * projected to be fixed in IBM Spectrum Protect backup-archive *
    * client 8.1.14. Note that this is subject to change at the    *

Problem conclusion

  • If there wasn't any operation on backup-archive client web user
    interface for 30 minutes, timeout will happen and the
    backup-archive client will try to close the session between
    backup-archive client and IBM Spectrum Protect server. If the
    session was already closed by server side, then do not output
    error to dsmerror.log. Instead, output to trace log.
