IT39638: SUBSEQUENT BACKUP OF PVC TO OBJECT STORE MAY FAIL IF NO DATA IS CHANGED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When Spectrum Protect Plus Container Backup Support does backup
  the same PVC again to object store the operation is reported as
  unsuccessful if no data has been changed compared to the initial
  backup.
  
  In the command.log the message is found:
  waitForBackup: error = local variable 'bytes_done' referenced
  before assignment

Problem conclusion

• This problem has been fixed so that no changed data on a PVC
