Error description

  • Enabling log backups for Microsoft Exchange databases protected
    with IBM Spectrum Protect Plus can fail with the messages in
    the job log :
    
    DETAIL,<timestamp>,CTGGG1135,[<Host>] The log backup scheduler
                                          record <ScheduleName> is
                                          invalid. The record was
                                          removed.
      WARN,<timestamp>,CTGGG1120,[<Host>] Failed to enable log
                                          backup for <InstanceName>
                                          or there were some
                                          considerable errors.
                                          For more information see
                                          the diagnostic logs for
                                          this operation.
    
    In the application log found in the job log bundle, the
    corresponding error is seen :
    
     Script ==> Register-ScheduledTask -Action $action -Trigger
    $trigger -Password ****** -User "<UserName>" -TaskName
    "<ScheduleName>" -Description "...
           Sp Error: 1 : [<Timestamp>]
          Exception: The string is missing the terminator: ".
            Stack: : ...
    
    This happens when special characters are used in the password
    of the user used to register a scheduled task in the IBM
    Spectrum Protect Plus Microsoft Exchange server Agent.
    
    IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Versions Affected:
    IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.3 and later
