APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Resource statistics are collected to record performance and
operating details of resources that are used by integration
servers. Since IBM App Connect Enterprise Version 11.0.0.8, the
publication of resource statistics is enabled by default for
newly created integration servers. It has been seen that with
resource statistics enabled, the process size of integration
servers (DataFlowEngine processes) very slowly grows over time.

Local fix

  • Disable resource statistics by editing the node.conf.yaml or
server.conf.yaml file to set the reportingOn property to false.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Resource statistics are collected to record performance and
operating details of resources that are used by integration
servers. Since IBM App Connect Enterprise Version 11.0.0.8, the
publication of resource statistics is enabled by default for
newly created integration servers. It has been seen that with
resource statistics enabled, the process size of integration
servers (DataFlowEngine processes) very slowly grows over time.
A new JNI local reference is being created before every
collection and publication of resource statistics, which occurs
every 20 seconds when enabled, but the local reference is not
    being deleted afterwards.

Problem conclusion

  • The product has been updated so that it now deletes the JNI
local reference after every publication of resource statistics.
