Error description

  • When the iibswitch command is used to create a switch server, if
the values for the MQSI_REGISTRY and MQSI_WROKPATH environment
variable do not match then the command fails with the following
    error message:

    iibswitch create switch -c /var/mqsi/ace/switch/switch.json
Creating the Switch server with configuration file
    '/var/mqsi/ace/switch/switch.json'.
    /home/davicrig/programs/mqsi/ace-11.0.0.13/server/bin/iibswitch:
    line 138: /var/mqsi/ace/registry/ACESWITCH_NODE_V11/CurrentVers
    ion/modeExtensions:No such file or directory

BIP8081E: An error occurred while processing the command.

An error occurred while the command was running; the command
    has cleaned up and ended.

Use messages prior to this one to determine the cause of the
    error.

    Check for some common problems:

Does the user id have the correct authorities (for example a
    member of the mqbrkrs group)?

Is any operating system limit set too low to allow the command
    to run?

Is the environment correctly set up?

Correct the problem and retry the command, otherwise, contact
    your IBM support center.

    BIP8071I: Successful command completion.

The error should be more descriptive and tell the user that
these environment variables should point to the same location.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When the iibswitch command is used to create a switch server, if
the values for the MQSI_REGISTRY and MQSI_WORKPATH environment
variables do not match then the command fails and does not
    output a meaningful error message.
The error should be more descriptive and tell the user that
these environment variables should point to the same location.

Problem conclusion

  • The product now outputs a error message BIP8697 indicating that
the MQSI_REGISTRY and MQSI_WROKPATH should be pointing to the
    same location
