IT38598: FILE LEVEL RESTORE MOUNT CLEANUP FAILS WITH ANS3130E AND RC = -1 IF THE VM IS DELETED

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After a successful mount operation using the Spectrum Protect
  for Virtual Environment GUI (TsmVmwareUI) the dismount fails
  with the below errors during the cleanup if the mounted VM is
  deleted and no longer exists on VMware inventory :
  
  08/23/2021 08:12:35 ANS3139E The attempt to unmount the disk
  failed with Windows error (n/a).
  08/23/2021 08:12:35 ANS3138E The unmount of the volumes failed
  during the cleanup operation of mount ID 1
  08/23/2021 08:12:35 ANS3130E The mount cleanup operation for
  virtual machine 'VM_NAME'  failed with rc = -1
  08/23/2021 08:12:35 ANS4449E A cleanup of the file restore mount
  of VMware Virtual Machine 'VM_NAME'  failed. The data center
  node name is 'DC_NODE', the mount proxy node name is
  'LOCAL_MP_WIN'

Local fix

• Use the Recovery Agent for the File Level restore tasks for

Problem conclusion

• Clients can not perform a mount cleanup operation using IBM
  Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments - Data Protection for
  VMware if backed up and mounted virtual machine is renamed or
  deleted on vCenter. A code change was made after which the
  operation is performed successfully.
