Error description

  • Observation of performance metrics for an SVC storage device
show a noticeable change in the performance graph where it
spikes up and down in an exagerated sawtooth pattern for a
period of time and then goes back to the expected metric
tracking. During these bursts of sawtooth activity, it is found
that the collection interval for the storage device alternates
between 5 minutes (expected) and 10 minutes (unexpected).

The storage devices that are configured as the backend of the
SVC are also monitored but are not providing the expected
performance metrics at times and this is unexpectedly affecting
    the SVC and its metrics.
