Error description

  • Using IBM Spectrum Protect Plus, an Oracle database restore can
fail with the following errors seen in the job log:
    ERROR,<timestamp>,<system.host.name> <DB name>: ORA-01109:
    database not open
    ERROR,<timestamp>,<system.host.name> <DB name>: ALTER TABLESPACE
    TEMP ADD TEMPFILE '+DATA/<DB name>/TEMPFILE_3.DBF' SIZE 68157440
REUSE AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 655360 MAXSIZE 32767M
    WARN,<timestamp>,CTGGF0152,<system.host.name> <DB name>: Failed
to add tempfile(s) to TEMP tablespace.

The failure is caused when the "log_archive_format" parameter is
set in the original DB configuration and during a restore the
IBM Spectrum Protect Plus agent attempts to update that
parameter, while the restored DB is already active.

    IBM Spectrum Protect Versions Affected:
    IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.x
