APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When reports are run on the IBM Spectrum Protect Plus server,
  odalog-##.log.gz files are generated, and put into the
  directory, /data/log/oda/
  The oda logs provide tracing and logging information of reports
  that are run.
  These files are then left behind and continue to grow.
  

Local fix

• These files can be deleted manually by running the commands
  below.
  sudo bash
  cd /data/log/oda
  find . -name "*.gz" -delete

Problem conclusion

• IBM Spectrum Protect Plus ODA log rotation logic has been fixed
  to ensure that ODA logs are properly rotated and eventually
  deleted when ODA logs grow beyond a fixed size.
