APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If the broker backup file contains message flow and sub flow
having same name deployed to an integration server,
mqsiextractcomponents will overwrite the dfmxml file and only
one dfmxml file will be present under the run directory of the
    integration server after migration.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM AppConnect enterprise V11 and V12 using
mqsiextractcomponents command to migrate node from any previous
    version.

    Platforms affected:
    z/OS, MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
If broker backup contains message flow and subflow having same
name deployed into an integration server, then the integration
node migrated using mqsiextractcomponents command will contain
either the message flow or the subflow only. Also
TADataCollector command may fail with "BIP1360E: the definition
for the subflow could not be found" error

Problem conclusion

  • mqsiextractcomponents has been modified to avoid naming clash
and extract dfmxml files for both mainflow and subflow during
    migration.
