APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • MQ was upgraded to 9.2 and when the queue manager and associated
    AMQP Service was restarted, the previously running AMQP channels
    failed
    to start automatically.
    .
    Furthermore, when MQXRService.startQueueManagerDefinedChannels()
    inquired the channel status after the upgrade, the 9.2 queue
    manager
    responded with MQRCCF_CHL_STATUS_NOT_FOUND.
    

Local fix

  • Start AMQP channel manually.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    A queue manager with a running AMQP channel was upgraded to 9.2
    or 9.3
    and when the queue manager and associated AMQP Service was
    restarted,
    a defect in the queue manager version migration code caused the
    AMQP
    channel to fail to start automatically.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The defect has been fixed.
