IT37773: DSMRECONCILE FINAL REPORT MAY HAVE INCORRECT VALUE OF "FILES UPDATED ON THE IBM SPECTRUM PROTECT SERVER"

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The dsmreconcile command synchronizes the file systems on the
  client node with the IBM Spectrum Protect server that is
  contacted for space management services.
  
  dsmreconcile's final report statistics, may have an incorrect
  value of "files updated on the IBM Spectrum Protect server"
  when a migrated file(s) has either some ACLs or some other EAs
  (extended attributes like "immutable" or SELinux related etc).
  To receate issue for such an affected migrated file:
    1. chmod a+rw /GPFS/test_file
    2. dsmmigrate -d /GPFS/test_file
    3. chmod a-rw /GPFS/test_file
    4. dsmreconcileGPFS.pl /GPFS
    5. dsmreconcileGPFS.pl /GPFS
    Even though nothing has changed between steps 4 and 5,
  dsmreconcile will report "1 files updated on the IBM Spectrum
  Protect server":
   Updating migrated files on the server...
           1 files updated on the IBM Spectrum Protect server
           1 valid IBM Spectrum Protect server objects found
           1 file list objects processed
           0 orphan files found
