• IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Microsoft 365 agent job log reports
  generic exception as "An unexpected error occurred when
  processing the job" when the root cause is about missing  Azure
  application permissions.

Problem conclusion

• Lack of properly configured permission could lead to unexpected
  errors during a backup operation. This problem has been fixed so
  that after encountering issues with getting access to the
  required resource  in the M365 cloud, the agent leaves a proper
  message in the job log instead of information about unexpected
  error
