APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When running 'test connection' on a device, you get a popup that
does not clearly state "connection to the device was successful"
or "connection to the device failed". instead you get a message
that says 'task completed' or 'task failed'. this is unclear and
leaves the user wondering whether the task itself succeeded or
failed, or the actual connection test.

The status of tasks are available in the Tasks view, and visible
by clicking on the icon for 'Running and Completed tasks' or
on the icon for 'Failed tasks'.

The tasks information is documented here:
    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/storage-insights?topic=navigation-tr
    acking-tasks

When a Test Connection is successful, it is listed in the
'Running and Completed tasks' under the Tasks completed
    section.

If a Test Connection fails, then it is only listed under the
    'Failed Tasks' list.
