IT37552: EXTENSION DRR FLAG NOT CLEARED ON DRRS WHERE GATEWAYEXTENSIONDEPLOYER HAS ALREADY COMPLETED INIT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In this scenario the client was attempting to roll back mgmt
  server to a restore point. Once they did this mgmt started the
  DRR process as expected. When GWD received the cloud snapshot
  GWD call dynamicReconfiguration which sets the DRR flag for the
  GatewayExtensionDeployer. This also pubsubs the event which
  ultimately ends up calling _dynamicReconfiguration. In this
  function, since INITIALIZED is already set to true we skip
  calling updateDynamicReconfigurationStatus(true); which means
  DYNAMIC_RECONFIG_PENDING never gets set to true. So when the DRR
  is complete and we call updateDynamicReconfigurationStatus to
  finally complete the extension create we have:
  
  DYNAMIC_RECONFIG_PENDING = false && pending = false
  This means we never release the DRR pending flag we set in the
  dynamicReconfiguration call and can not complete initialization.
  The only way to work around this is by forcing a brain dead
  scenario by restarting all pods/GWs at the same time.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The flag will now be cleared as expected.
