IT37054: UNABLE TO CONFIGURE ORACLE BACKUP ON LINUX - CTGGA4162 PYTHON ERROR

Error description

• Configuring ORACLE backup on a LINUX machine might fail.
  TEST Configuration task fails with error against the Basic LINUX
  prerequisites for file and volume operations:
  Python version 2.6.x or 2.7.x must be installed.
  
  
  Application server inventory fails with this error:
  ERROR,1618476438557,<<date>>> <<<time >>>
  UTC,2,CTGGA4162,[xxx.x.xx...com]
  Unsupported Python executable found: version Failed.to. Python
  3.6.x is required.
  
  The problem here is that /opt on the Oracle server did not have
  enough free space to install python 3.

  IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.7 and later versions

Local fix

• Ensure that the file systems for /opt and /tmp have sufficient
  space for Oracle backup support. /opt requires 800 MB and /tmp
  requires 500 MB.
  If both directories are on the same file system, a total of 1300
  MB is required.
  After ensuring there is sufficient space, try to configure
  Oracle backup again.

Problem conclusion

• Free space checking for /opt is added and if there is not enough
  free space in /opt job will print a proper error message about
  free space instead of an error message about python.
