IT36969: BACKUP VMS FAIL WITH ERROR CTGGA2649, THE SPECIFIED KEY IS NOT FOUND IN THE DISK DATABASE

Error description

• IBM Spectrum Protect Plus job for backing up VMs on VMware fails
  with the following message:
  
  CTGGA2649 Backup of VM failed due to an unexpected error.
  Contact support for further assistance. Error: The specified key
  is not found in the disk database (evddk-16052)
  
  This issue can occur when the VDDK API returns a list of
  available metadata keys for a vmdk, but when trying to retrieve
  the values, the VDDK failed for some key. An example is for the
  key "comment", and this time it happens to a different metadata
  key, "geometry.biosCylinders"
  
  The error message reporting the problematic key
  "geometry.biosCylinders" reported in the vadp proxy log located
  in /opt/IBM/SPP/logs/<jobsessionId>/<vmName>-<vmId>.log.

Problem conclusion

• The fix for this issue allows the VM backup to complete
  successfully if cannot retrieve the VM configuration's
