Error description

  • The Microsoft Exchange server inventory job ends as COMPLETED,
    but no instance and database are discovered in IBM Spectrum
    Protect Plus. Job log itself does not clearly state the
    processing stops because of an unsupported operating system
    version, instead, it just displays a warning
    message:
    
    CTGGG1109,[exchange-server] The Windows version is
    not supported.
    
    As Exchange agent exits unexpectedly due to the
    unsupported Windows version, the command.log found in the same
    job log bundle will display an unrelated misleading
    error:
    
    <timestamp> [0x00006010] ERROR winosutil - Failed to
    open cluster, error (1753, There are no more endpoints
    available from the endpoint mapper.)
    
    Versions affected: 10.1.*

Problem conclusion

  • IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Exchange agent warning message
    "CTGGG1109 Windows version is not supported" is changed to have
    'error' type. So IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Exchange agent will
    fail with that error in Job Log when it detect that a version of
    Windows is unsupported.
    

Temporary fix

  • Upgrade Windows version to supported one.
