APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Exchange agent stores log data
  for scheduled log backups locally in the
  "c:\ProgramData\SPP\excscheds\<scheduler-name>" folder.
  In that folder, the file trace.txt is persistent and just
  appended with information for each scheduled log backup.
  With time and depending on the activity, this file can grow and
  use many gigabytes on the C:\ disk.
  There is no option available to prune or limit this file in
  size in the current design.

Local fix

• Monitor the trace.txt file size in logbackups
  (C:\PROGRAMDATA\SPP\EXCSCHEDS\<SC HEDULER-NAME>\TRACE.TXT).
  When there is no IBM Spectrum Protect Plus backup, restore or
  log backup activity, delete the trace.txt file to reclaim
  space.
