Error description

  • The following IBM Spectrum Protect Plus application inventory
    message can be seen in the job log :
    
    SUMMARY,<timestamp>,CTGGA2398,Starting job for policy
                                  Application Server Inventory.

                                  Protect Plus version 10.1.7-3043.
    ...
      ERROR,<timestamp>,Failed to persist profile association
                        changes

                                  (<serveraddress>) inventorying.
    ...

    In the virgo log, the related message reports a duplicate key
    issue :

    This will be seen when existing SLA option changes are
    incorrectly processed as new SLA options instead of updates to
    existing options by IBM Spectrum Protect Plus.

Problem conclusion

  • Duplicate association entries (options and SLAs) can no longer
    be added to the catalog. Instead, if an association entry is
    added to the catalog, it is treated as an update and a duplicate
    entry is no longer added.
