APAR status

Error description

  • A SOAPRequest node after migrating to ACE V11 may throw the
    following error
    
    java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: DEFAULTPROTOCOL
    SSLContext not available'
    

Local fix

  • Build and redeploy the flow from V11 toolkit
    

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of IBM App Connect Enterprise V11.0 having migrated
    messageflow containing webservice request nodes.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">A SOAPRequest
    node or HTTPRequest node,  after migrating to ACE V11,  may
    throw the </span><span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255,
    255)">following error
                                                   </span>

    255)">java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: DEFAULTPROTOCOL
    SSLContext not available'
    
    The issue happens when the  messageflow, created on the previous
    version, is missing sslProtocol property.  In such cases, ACE
    uses the 'DEFAULTPROTOCOL' value instead of using an empty
    string for sslProtocol value.

Problem conclusion

  • The SOAPRequest node or HTTPRequest node, in a migrated flow,
    no longer fails when its <span style="background-color:rgb(255,
    255, 255)">sslProtocol </span>property is not present
