Error description
The issue with the Location header rewrite feature in MPGW service. Even though the host name in the location header does not match the backend host name, the location header gets rewritten. If host & location cannot be resolved, a check if the resolution succeed before comparing the 2 addresses is not happening and the appliance 'accidentally' thinks they are the same. The logs show: ... [0x80e00793][mpgw][info] mpgw(...): trans(...)[...] gtid(...): Rewrite the host name and port of the URL in Location response header '...' with the host name and port of the Host request header value '...'. The value of the Location response header URL is rewritten to '...'.
Local fix
Problem summary
The fix would check if the host in the Location header can be resolved by DNS and if not does not rewrite the header.
Problem conclusion
Fix is available in 10.0.1.3 and 2018.4.1.16 For a list of the latest fix packs available, please see: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/83105
