IT35495: UNSUPPORTED STORAGE SYSTEMS SHOW WITH GRAY BOXES IN THE DASHBOARD AND A LACK OF DETAILS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After the latest Storage Insights update, some storage devices
  (NetApp and Storwize V7000 Unified) are displayed poorly. In
  the dashboard views, they are shown as blank gray boxes without
  a system name, condition, or events and with very limited
  details after selecting it. From the Resources view for block
  storage, it also is lacking most of the information. The system
  is not being monitored and options for it are grayed out. The
  storage devices were previously added during a Storage Insights
  Pro trial period that has since expired. Data Collection is not
  running on them.
  

Local fix

• Go to Resources. Right click and Remove each of the unsupported
  storage systems.
