APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The user observed unexpected restart of DataPower on logging
the result of dp:binaryNodeToString child::node() accessing an
empty or String type child instead of XML Node type child.

Local fix

  • Do not log result of dp:binaryNodeToString child::node()

Problem summary

  • Specific node types when run though binaryNodeToString or
binaryNodeToJSONx may cause an unexpected reload of the device.

Problem conclusion

  • Some nodesets are invalid to be run through these ext functons
and are now ignored with the functions returning an empty
string.

Fixed in: 2018.4.1.15 10.0.1.2
