Error description
When Spectrum Protect Plus has a SLA that is configured to create a copy on a Repository Server (Spectrum Protect Server) or on Object Storage, this copy can be full and not incremental as expected. Only the first copy created here is expected to be a full copy, next copies should be incremental. The virgo log will show a message indicating no storageReplicationId is defined for the involved volume and a new relationship is created. This new relationship will be created during every run of the offload SLA. c.c.e.s.protection.storage.lifecycle.copy.StorageCopyWorker <JobID> cloud Offloading snapshot (ID: <id>) from source [server: <vsnap IP>, volume: <volid>, snapshot: <snapshot id>] to target [server: https://spectrum.protect.server:9000, volume: <bucket>]. c.c.e.s.protection.storage.lifecycle.copy.Sto rageCopyWorker <JobID> No storageReplicationId defined for: <snapshot id> c.c.e.s.protection.storage.lifecycle.copy.StorageCopyWorker <JobID> No relationship found between source [server: <vSnap>, volume: <volid>] and target [server: <vSnap>, volume: <volid>]. c.c.e.s.protection.storage.lifecycle.copy.StorageCopyWorker <JobID> Creating the relationship between source [server: <vSnap>, volume: <volid>] and target [server:https://spectrum.protect.server:9000, volume: <bucket>]. The vSnap replication log will show a full offload: vsnap.linux.system Executing command: zfs send -nvP -c vpool1/fs<id>@snap<id> | awk '{print $2}' It is expected to see "zfs send -nvP -c -i vpool1/fs<id>@snap<base-id> vpool1/fs<id>@snap<id> | awk '{print $2}'" where -i confirms the offload is incremental between snap<base-id> and snap<id>. The '-i' is missing in this case. The issue may not happen always as it depends on how the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) loads its cache. | MDVREGR 10.1.6-ifix3 - TIV_5737SPLUS | IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Versions Affected: IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.6 - ifix4 (build 2045) Initial Impact: Medium Additional Keywords: SPP, SPPlus, TS004224039
