Error description

  • Potential Policy Error After Firmware Upgrade Causing Lifecycle
    Failures on DataPower API (V6) Gateway.
    Possible failures include APIs being invoked after being deleted
    or new APIs could not be invoked.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • After an upgrade of DataPower firmware, subsequent configuration
     updates from API Manager for the DataPower API Gateway might
    not be correctly processed by the API Connect Gateway Service.
    You will see an error message similar to the following on
    DataPower:

    apic-gw-service(default): tid(242): Unable to advertise policy
    (in method 'register'). Error: TypeError: Converting circular
    structure to JSON
    

Problem conclusion
