APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If a user issues DISPLAY commands from MQSC, but does not have
sufficient authority on the underlying objects matching the
    command, multiple error
messages might be printed. For example:

    runmqsc <qmgr>

         1 : DISPLAY AUTHINFO(*)
    AMQ8135: Not authorized.
    AMQ8135: Not authorized.
    AMQ8135: Not authorized.
    AMQ8135: Not authorized.
    One MQSC command read.
No commands have a syntax error.
One valid MQSC command could not be processed.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
RUNMQSC users that generate a "Not authorized" error for
different objects while processing a single command. In the
current example, a display authinfo(*) command was issued
without appropriate authorization, which resulted in the "Not
    authorized" message occurring multiple times.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A runmqsc command may iterate over multiple objects, e.g. with a
wildcard. If each object encountered a similar error (in this
case "No Authorization"), the error was printed for each entity
    resulting in duplicate messages.

Problem conclusion

  • Logic was added to only print one instance of the "Not
    authorized" error.
