Error description

  • When attempting to perform a file level restore in the IBM
    Spectrum Protect Plus UI, using an RBAC or LDAP ID results in a
    failure.

    This problem occurs during the search phase of a
    
    file level restore and never actually completes so
    no job log
    is created.

Local fix

  • Use the default "admin" ID created during the install
    of IBM
    Spectrum Protect Plus.

Problem conclusion

  • Search criteria scope in Lucene for file restore level was
    different for a LDAP user and a regular IBM Spectrum Protect
    Plus  user. That might lead to bigger resource usage when
    operations where done by a LDAP user. The search criteria has
    been fixed to be in the same scope as in case of regular user.
