IT33460: JSON SCHEMA THAT FAILS COMPILATION WITH INVALID REFERENCE OR INVALID JSON SYNTAX DOES NOT LOG SPECIFIC ERROR

Subscribe

You can track all active APARs for this component.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customers would see a very generic message (Compilation error)
and not know what specifically was wrong with their JSON
schema. This was known to happen for invalid references or
invalid JSON syntax, but might happen in other situations.

Local fix

  • Use a third-party JSON schema validator to figure out what
specifically is wrong about the schema.

Problem summary

  • Debugging might be difficult as some important compilation
messages are not logged for APIGW schema compilation.

Problem conclusion

  • Ensure json compilation messages are properly categorized and
    logged for APIGW Service.
Fix is available in 2018.4.1.13 and 10.0.0.1
