APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When you invoke the "copy" command and include the password in
the URI of the source or destination, log messages include the
password.

Local fix

  • Under these conditions, exclude the password in the URI. When
excluded, you are prompted for the password. When you enter the
password, it is also not visible on the console.

Problem summary

  • DataPower/MQ Appliance user uses CLI COPY command to scp remote
files might see credential information in CLI logs if it is
provided in the URI.
