IT33304: MULTIPLE ENABLELOGBACKUP/DISABLELOGBACKUP COMMANDS INVOKED AT SAME TIME MAY CORRUPT THE INPUT.JSON IN SCHEDULER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• IBM Spectrum Protect Plus for Microsoft Exchange will update the
  input.json in job log scheduler in the enablelogbackup or
  disablelogbackup command. In the original code, we did not
  synchronize the enablelogbackup / disablelogbackup commands. So
  if multiple enablelogbackup /disablelogbackup commands invoked
  on same scheduler at same time, the input.json of this scheduler
  may be corrupted.
  

Local fix

• For enablelogbackup problem, user can modify the log backup
  start time or frequency on GUI, run backup job, modify the start
  time or frequency back, run backup job again. This will correct
  the input.json of scheduler.
  
  For disablelogbackup problem, user can try to enable logbackup
  of the databases with different start time or frequency, run
  backup job, then disabble lobackup for these databases and run
  backup job again. This will correct the input.json of scheduler.

Problem conclusion

• When multiple enablelogbackup / disablelogbackup commands modify
  same logbackup scheduler at same time, the input.json of the
  logbackup scheduler may be corrupted.
  To fix this, we need to synchronize the enablelogbackup /
  disablelogbackup commands.
