IT32140: LARGER OUTBOUND JMS MESSAGES CANNOT BE TRANSMITTED TO DESTINATION

Fix packs for DataPower Gateway version 2018.4.1

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The user observes that larger outgoing JMS messages cannot be
  transmitted by DataPower to the JMS destination.
  While messages smaller than ~10k succeed, messages of e.g. 20k
  size fail.
  On error scenario, DataPower logged e.g.:

  wasjms-server(mySIBus): server(mySIBus): Error performing
  request. Status [1] - UNKNOWN

Local fix

Problem summary

• For DataPower users who use WebSphere JMS Front Side Handler to
  receive messages from remote WebSphere JMS server, when the
  transmitted message size is greater than 20 KB, DataPower JMS
  will fail to receive the message. The transaction holds one for
  minutes and finally show an error as "WebSphere JMS error(26) -
  CONNECT_FAILED".
  

Problem conclusion

• Fix is available in 2018.4.1.11

Temporary fix

• Avoid processing the message which is greater than 20KB.
