• When a VM has one or more virtual NICs and the connected virtual
  switch on one virtual NIC of the VM has been removed, the
  following exception can occur:

Problem conclusion

• When a Hyper-V VM contains an invalid network adapter this would
  previously cause failure of the VM to backup. This error
  condition has been changed so that the invalid adapter generates
  a warning in the system log but the VM will continue to backup
  successfully.
