Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of the IBM MQ Appliance who have loaded
MQ V9.1.0.3 firmware onto their appliance.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The IBM MQ Appliance periodically checks to see if any HA
    functionality needs to be restarted.

If an MQ Appliance was not configured for HA and the appliance
system name was left blank during the startup wizard, then this
check would result in an FDC containing probe identifier
DP016021 being generated. An excerpt from the FDC is shown
    below:

    ***********************************************************
    Probe ID: DP016021
    Probe Type: INCORROUT
    Probe Severity: 4
Probe Description: AMQ6125E: An internal IBM MQ Appliance error
    has occurred.
    FDCSequenceNumber: 0
    Arith1:- 89 (0x59)
    Comment1: Failed running /opt/mqm/bin/startHAifDead
    ***********************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ Appliance has been updated to no longer generate an
FDC if the check to see if the HA functionality needs to be
restarted is performed on a system that has not been enabled for
    HA.
