Error description

  • Error Description: An automatic deployment of a BA client update
    will fail if the TCPServeraddress option in the client's system
    option file is set to an IP address different from the Spectrum
    Protect server's high-level address and if the client is unable
    to connect to the server's high-level address.
    
    
    
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
    
    The setup.log file created during the deployment will contain
    the following messages, indicating no match between the address
    defined in the option file and the server's high-level address :

Problem conclusion

  • The automatic client deployment fails if the primary server IP
    address is inaccessible from the client machine.
    The code is changed, so that if the IP address provided by the
    server can not be reached, the value from dsm.sys file's
    corresponding server stanza is used.
