APAR status

Error description

  • When a common DFDL schema file is imported multiple times, both
    directly and indirectly from other imported DFDL schema from
    nested shared libraries the generation of the DFDL runtime
    objects can fail reporting:-
    
    
    CTDX1103E : XSD: The type may not have duplicate name and
    target namespace
    
    
    
    This can cause deployment failures and prevent Applications
    depending on the shared libraries from starting.
    

Local fix

  • The only possible workaround is to place all the DFDL schema in
    a single shared library.

    All users of IBM App Connect Enterprise V11.0 having DFDL schema
    imports from nested shared libraries

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    When a common DFDL schema file is imported multiple times, both
    directly and indirectly from other imported DFDL schema from
    nested shared libraries the generation of the DFDL runtime
    objects can fail reporting:-
    
    CTDX1103E : XSD: The type may not have duplicate name and target
    namespace
    

Problem conclusion

  • The DFDL import handler is fixed to pass canonical paths so that
    multiple imports of a sub schema do not cause duplicates
