IT29560: Some invocations of the dmpmqcfg utility reports AMQ5705E error

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When issuing the dmpmqcfg command in client mode, certain PCF
  commands issued to the queue manager may fail due to the OS of
  the target queue manager and/or the command level the queue
  manager is running at.  This results in an AMQ5705E error
  message.

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  Any users that use dmpmqcfg over a client connection to query a
  remote queue manager could be affected, the target queue manager
  command level and platform are factors.
  
  
  Platforms affected:
  MultiPlatform

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  A logic error existed in the dmpqmqcfg tool in determining
  whether a target queue manager was of a suitably high enough
  command level and applicable platform to issue certain PCF
  requests. Under certain circumstances PCF requests were issued
  that were not applicable to the target platform and the dmpmqcfg
  tool reported an AMQ5705 error.
  

Problem conclusion

• The logic error in determining queue manager applicability in
  terms of command level and platform is corrected.
