• IBM Spectrum Protect Plus backup can fail with the following
  error message in the joblog:
  
      ERROR,...,Failed to perform backup of db instance
        SPP-HOST-WIN\INSTANCE01 on application server spp-host-win
        e=...xsb.commons.XSBException: Failed to parse command
        output for spp-hosts-win. e=...xsb.commons.XSBException:
        UnMarshal json exception: (com.fasterxml.jackson.databind.
        JsonMappingException) (Invalid UTF-8 middle byte 0x54
  
    The issue is Spectrum Protect Plus handling of multibyte
    characters of an owner name of a datbase, normally seen when
    the locale of the machine is not set to English.
