Error description
When cancelling the BACKUP DB process, the Spectrum Protect Server may crash shortly after the following messages in activity log show: ANR2017I Administrator ADMIN issued command: CANCEL PROCESS xx (SESSION: xxxxx) ANR0940I Cancel request accepted for process xx. (SESSION: xxxxx) The crash can occur while writing to any device class for database backup, but is more likely to occur when the target device class has a SERVER device type. IBM Spectrum Protect versions affected: 7.1.x and 8.1.x of the Spectrum Protect server on all platforms Customer/L2 Diagnostics (If Applicable): The crash may have different stack information reported each time when cancelling the BACKUP DB process.
