Error description

  • The "crtmqdir -a" command reports file errors after installing a
fixpack.

[mqm]$ crtmqdir -a
AMQ6321E: File '/var/mqm/exits64/Installation1/mqccred' needs
updating.
AMQ6321E: File '/var/mqm/exits64/Installation1/mqccred_r' needs
updating.

Local fix

MQ users installing fix pack on Linux platforms


Platforms affected:
Linux on x86-64, Linux on zSeries, Linux on Power, Linux on
S390, Linux on x86

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic error in the MQ <span style="background-color:rgb(255,
255, 255)">fix pack installation</span> code caused the file
errors under /var/mqm directory to be reported after fix pack
installation.

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ fix pack installation code has been modified to fix these
file errors during fix pack installation.
