Error description

  • If executing HA control commands (such as sethagrp) on the MQ
Appliance while the heartbeat link to the partner appliance is
unavailable, the command blocks for several minutes before
returning an error response.

This issue affects users of the MQ Appliance who have configured
two appliances as an HA pair

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic omission in code common to the HA configuration commands
did not confirm the heartbeat link status prior to waiting for
transmission over that link.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The code used by the HA configuration commands has been updated
to validate the heartbeat link state and return an error
promptly to the user if the link is unavailable.
