APAR status

Error description

  • When a queue is defined based on an existing queue via runmqsc
    parameter 'like', parameter NPMCLASS is not replicated
    correctly.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  •  Defining a queue based on an existing queue via
    runmqsc 'LIKE' command the NPMCLASS is not replicated correctly.
    E.g.
      8 : DIS QL(TEST1.L) NPMCLASS
            QUEUE(TEST1.L)                           NPMCLASS(HIGH)
     10 : DEFINE QL(TEST2.L) LIKE(TEST1.L)
      AMQ8006: WebSphere MQ queue created.
     11 : DIS QL(TEST2.L) NPMCLASS
            QUEUE(TEST2.L)                           NPMCLASS(NORMAL
    

Problem conclusion

  •  Problem has been fixed.
    The NPMCLASS attritube for local queue definitions is replicated
    correctly.
    

Temporary fix

  •  After replicating a queue set the NPMCLASS
    attribute for queues manually.
