Error description
PCOMM 12.0.2.0 on Windows 10 (Creators Update) Customer reports that clients are getting error messages PCSKBD110 - TYPE 8 SUBTYPE 0 NOT SUPPORTED This is the problem described in APAR: IT18130 - PCOM: KEYBOARD ERROR PCSKBD110 TYPE 8 SUBTYPE 0 NOT SUPPORTED ON WINDOWS 10 OPERATING SYSTEM and should be fixed in the refresh which customer has installed.

On some Windows 10 operating system installations, GetKeyboardType() seems to be returning a value which is invalid for PCOMM to use. With this error, the session will become unusable.
Problem conclusion
PCSKBD.DLL code changes have been made to detect invalid return code from GetKeyboardType() and reset to the default value. This APAR supersedes APAR IT18130 Fix scheduled for PCOMM 12.0.3.0 and 13.0.1.0 Refresh Pack.
