    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Users who set the Filesystem stanza option ValidateAuth=No are
expecting permissions set on the queue manager error logs to
    remain unchanged.

Because of code changes made during 8.0 development, the
ValidateAuth=No option was being disregarded. Therefore the
file permissions of the queue manager error logs were being
changed back to their default values when the logs were written
to, including during a queue manager end or start operation,
    even when ValidateAuth=No was set.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ product has been corrected so that setting
Filesystem: ValidateAuth=No in the qm.ini file will now cause
the queue manager to leave the permissions on the error log
    files unaltered.
